Project Overview
BuBu.ug is an innovative online shopping platform built to empower Ugandan manufacturers, wholesalers, and SMEs to showcase and sell their products nationwide. Developed by HB4CYBER Ltd, this platform bridges the gap between local producers and digital consumers by providing a smooth, secure, and scalable e-commerce experience.
Client’s Vision
The goal of BuBu.ug was to promote Buy Uganda Build Uganda (BUBU) products and digitize the local retail space. The client sought a robust system with real-time inventory, multi-vendor support, secure payments, and delivery logistics tracking—all under one platform.
We designed and developed a full-fledged e-commerce platform from the ground up with the following key features:

Multi-Vendor Support: Enables multiple sellers to list and manage their products independently.

Secure Payments: Integrated local and international payment gateways (Flutterwave, Mobile Money, VISA).

Order & Inventory Management: Backend tools for vendors to manage stock, process orders, and track deliveries.

Customer Accounts & Wishlists: Personalized dashboards, order history, and saved items.

Admin Control Panel: Centralized admin panel for system oversight, analytics, vendor approvals, and more.
We ensured data protection and payment security through HTTPS encryption, two-factor authentication for admins, and secure payment gateway APIs.
Since launch, BuBu.ug has provided a digital marketplace for dozens of local producers, expanding their reach beyond physical stores. It aligns with Uganda’s digital transformation agenda and encourages support for locally made products.
